Council Tax must go. Millions suffer, especially pensioners and those on fixed income, as every year council Tax, based as it is on out-dated property values, rises by more than inflation.

Liberal Democrats in touch through-out the year – not just at election time.

This tax must be replaced by a local tax based on the ability to pay.

Whilst Council Tax remains, we will seed to bring forward an alternative Liberal Democrat budget which provides for a Council Tax rise no greater than inflation. Local residents will be surveyed so that you can say what your priorities are.
